Setting Up In-Game Macros
Getting started is simple. Here’s how to create and equip your macros:
Open the Macro Window: Press U by default.
Create a New Macro: Click the New button to start fresh.
Fill in the Details:
Name: Up to 10 characters.
Description: Quick reminder of what the macro does.
Icon: Pick something easy to spot on your skill bar.
Enter Commands: Use Aion 2’s syntax to automate your actions:
/Skill [Skill Name] – triggers a specific ability (must match the exact name).
/Delay [Seconds] – pauses the macro for the set time (e.g., /Delay 1.5).
/Use [Item Name] – uses consumables like potions.
Save and Equip: Drag your macro icon onto the QuickBar for easy access.
Built-in Macro Rotations
Aion 2 also includes pre-made rotations to keep combat flowing:
Capacity: Up to 20 rotations per macro.
Function: Typically alternates between Left-Click (LMB) and Right-Click (RMB) skills to keep constant pressure on enemies.
Activation: Hold the macro key—these aren’t toggle-based.
Manual Override: The macro pauses automatically if you manually trigger an off-cooldown skill while holding the macro key.
Optimization Tips
Delay Settings: Start with a 50ms delay. If your ping is high, increase slightly to prevent skipped skills.
Testing: Always try your rotations on a DPS dummy to confirm abilities fire correctly without gaps.
Skill Queue: Keep Skill Queue ON in settings—this helps abilities line up smoothly, especially if latency is an issue.
Automation Limits: Macros are fine for combat optimization and dungeon scoring. Do not use them for AFK farming or botting, as that’s strictly prohibited.
Mastering macros in Aion 2 can save your hands, smooth out rotations, and push your DPS higher than ever. Start small, test your sequences, and tweak delays until your chains feel seamless. Once you get it right, you’ll wonder how you ever played without them.
